Coloring Your Hair- Made Easy
Hair coloring at home is definitely not an easy task and it is usually a good idea to ask a friend of family member to help you provided they have some idea on how to color hair. If you are planning to just highlight a few strands, you would need to pick those up and use the color on them. However, most people choose to color their entire hair while doing it at home and do the highlighting at a salon as it is a cost effective way to approach hair coloring.
There are a number of products available in the hair coloring range and you should test the sample color on a strand to ensure that it is not reacting with your hair and is offering a color which you truly want. You are obviously all-too-familiar with what happens when you try and color your hair without doing the test! The color is not easy to get rid off once done and you will need to wait for hair growth to get rid of unwanted color which can be quite painful.
Professional help from the salon is the best advice one can give for those who are trying on hair color for the first time. You can choose your color under guidance and get a load of advice on how to preserve the hair color for the longest period of time. However, if you are coloring your hair to hide grey, then it can easily be done at home as you are likely to choose your original hair color at that point of time.

Applying Makeup in Seven Minutes or Less
First, start with moisturizing your face. Make sure you have even distribution, and thoroughly massage the product into your skin. Always moisturize your skin before applying makeup to achieve a more natural result. Next, apply foundation to your face. If you are using liquid foundation, place a pea-size amount of foundation to your cheeks, chin and forehead. Be sure to apply to your nose also and blend outwards towards the cheeks. Use the same approach with a stick foundation and cream-to-powder foundation, but this time you dab the product onto your skin and blend in evenly. Dab concealer onto dark eye circles or problem areas, and blend out the edges.
Using your favorite sheer powder and powder brush, you are going to set the foundation by using light sweeping strokes to dust on the powder. Don't forget to cover the concealer to disguise it. Brush away any excess that may be left on your face. Next, you are going to fill in your eyebrows with a brow pencil or brow powder. If you are using a brow pencil, light feathery strokes should be used to fill in any gaps you may have. If you prefer to use a brow powder, you may find that an angle brush is the easiest brush to apply it with. Again, use light feathery strokes when filling in gaps and defining the shape.
Let's rosy up those cheeks by dusting some blush onto those cheekbones. Make sure you blend in circular motion up towards the hairline to create a natural finish. Next, apply your favorite eyeshadow and blend with a blending brush. When blending, make sure you use the windshield-wiper technique by moving the blending brush back and forth along the crease of the eye -- this creates a much softer look. After that you can proceed with lining your eyes with an eyeliner pencil, and applying mascara to both the upper and lower lashes. Lastly, apply your favorite color lipstick or lip gloss to top of the look and put your best face forward!

Eyebrow Shaping
Makeup can only do so much to enhance the look of your eyes. Shaping the style of the eyebrows to fit the harmony of the face completes the package.
How many times have you seen an excellent application of makeup only to spot the uni-brow right off! On the other hand the total pluck and paint is almost as unsightly. There must be a balance between the two.
Remembering "perfect" is different for each person, what are the qualities one would expect to find to achieve perfect eyebrows?
Foremost, the entire shape of your eyebrows must be matched and equal, they need to be smooth and the color needs to be complimentary to your face and eyes. Do not shade to a bottled hair color you have, instead shade to the natural color your hair used to be. If you want to change the color of your eyebrows get with your favorite salon stylist and have them change the color of your eyebrows to a light brown if you are blond or darker to a black if you are a brunette.
As you may already know, the eyebrows have three distinctly different points, the first is above the bridge of the nose, the second is the center area which has the most curve and the ending or outermost point.
Perfect eyebrows are usually shaped similar to a comma, with the first point of about one quarter inch in height tapering down in size towards the ending of an eighth of an inch or less. The ending should line up horizontally with the beginning. If any slight mistakes are made during the shaping, an eyebrow pencil of similar color may be used to fill in gaps.
To train your new eyebrows use a little face cream massaged into the eyebrow and comb in the direction of beginning to ending with a fine comb. Try not to thin the eyebrow to much especially when starting to shape. You can always thin farther after a few days but you can't stick them back in!
Different face shapes will require slightly different eyebrow contours. Personal preference is most important of course but there are a few guidelines to go by.
Typically the shape of the face will determine the starting shape of the eyebrows, a round face will naturally have slightly round eyebrows, only minor modification is needed. A square face will typically have thicker, straight eyebrows and much reshaping and training will be needed to create an oblique, thinner look.
It may take several months of shaping and training to get the perfect look for your eyebrows but with a little time and dedication you can have the eyebrows you always dreamed about!

How To Wash Your Face Properly
Many experts agree that properly washing your face is important to maintain a healthy and beautiful skin. Here is a compile of all the basic tips on the first step to maintaining a beautiful face.
1. It is important to remove all makeup and residue using a soft cotton ball and moisturizing cream to avoid damaging your skin.
2. Avoid using too hot or too cold water to rinse your face as it may dries up skin.
3. Choosing the right cleanser is important as strong soap may cause skin to dry and strip off natural lipids. Always choose soap that are free, noncomedogenic, and mild.
4. Gently massaging face with an upward rotating motions using only your middle ring and pinky fingers.
5. It is advisable to clean face several times to remove all residue of soap or cleansers. The indivisible residues left behind can clog up pores.
6. Always pat dry your face with a soft, non-abrasive towel. Never rub on your face.
7. After cleaning your face, use an alcohol-free toner to close the pores. It should also leave your face feeling smooth and refreshed.
8. Finish off with your favorite moisturizer to keep skin healthy and hydrated. Natural moisturizer is the best way to go as it has the least amount of chemical additives.
9. Always put on sun block after cleaning your face in the morning. Preferably sunblock with the SPF of 15 or higher. Remember to reapply throughout the day depending on the amount of time spending in the sun and the number of SPF used.
